Discuss Acts 13:4-12

  1. How did God comfort, challenge, or correct you today?
  2. Where can you point in your life to demonstrate that the Holy Spirit is leading you?
  3. Read 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. What was God’s price to have you? How does this demonstrate the depths of God’s love for you?
  4. What kind of rights does God have over you? In what ways are you tempted to act as if some part of your life is outside of God’s ownership, care, or purposes?
  5. Where and to whom are you proclaiming the gospel? Pray.
  6. Who can you take with you as you go proclaiming the word of God? Make a phone call and invite that person to come with you.
  7. Why are the promises of magic (power and spirituality without God) so attractive to people?
  8. War is hard to hide. Where do you see the marks of spiritual warfare (fighting for the salvation of souls) in your life? in your family?
  9. Do you think it was appropriate for Saul/Paul to shift which name he used in different situations? Was Saul/Paul a people-pleaser, less than authentic? See 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.
  10. Are you wrestling for the world like the world? Or, are you wrestling against error and for the joyous salvation of others? How can you become a better wrestler?
